The HVACR industry’s biggest stage is set, and DEWALT is bringing new cordless solutions built specifically for pros who work with refrigerant lines, press fittings, and system installs every day. At this year’s AHR Expo, taking place February 2–4 in Las Vegas, DEWALT is introducing two new 20V MAX tools designed to improve jobsite efficiency for plumbers, pipefitters, and HVACR technicians.
These upcoming releases focus on portability, performance, and cutting down the time spent moving between tools and power sources, a constant challenge on commercial rooftops, mechanical rooms, and retrofit jobs.

20V MAX XR 5 CFM Vacuum Pump Kit
(DW-DCE510WW1)
Cordless technology continues to reshape HVAC installs, and DEWALT’s new 20V MAX XR 5 CFM Vacuum Pump Kit is aimed directly at that shift. Designed to eliminate extension cords and simplify your work, this pump delivers the performance pros expect while adding portability that traditional pumps simply can’t match.

This unit is A2L compatible, aligning with the industry’s transition toward lower-GWP refrigerants. A brushless motor helps deliver consistent performance and improved runtime, while the pump pulls down to a 15-micron ultimate vacuum, meeting the demands of proper evacuation procedures on modern systems.
Jobsite practicality is clearly part of the design. The integrated hoist ring makes lifting to rooftops or elevated mechanical rooms easier and safer, while the shoulder strap helps techs carry the unit comfortably across large sites. Multiple port sizes: 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ allow compatibility with a wide range of service setups without extra adapters.

Maintenance and usability were also considered. A built-in check valve helps protect system integrity during operation, and the angled oil drainage port is designed to make oil changes cleaner and faster. The addition of a low battery signal helps technicians avoid unexpected shutdowns during critical evacuation procedures.
For HVAC professionals who regularly move between service calls, rooftops, and mechanical rooms, this cordless vacuum pump represents a major step toward lighter, more mobile system commissioning.
Compact ZoomLock MAX and >B< MaxiPro ¼-in. to 1-1/8-in. ACR Press Jaws Kit
(DW-DCE217K)

Also debuting at AHR Expo is DEWALT’s Compact ZoomLock MAX and MaxiPro 1/4-in. to 1-1/8-in. ACR Press Jaws Kit, a system built to support fast, flame-free refrigerant line connections. Press technology continues to grow in popularity across HVACR because it reduces installation time while eliminating the need for open flames in sensitive environments.
This new jaws kit is designed to handle a broad range of ACR tubing sizes commonly found in residential and light commercial HVAC work. By supporting both ZoomLock MAX and >B< MaxiPro fittings, the system gives contractors flexibility across jobsite standards and regional preferences.
For technicians, the real advantage is speed and consistency. Press connections can help reduce install times compared to traditional brazing while also improving repeatability across multiple connections. In environments where fire safety, finished spaces, or time constraints are major concerns, press systems like this are becoming an increasingly important part of the HVAC toolkit.
What This Means for HVAC & Plumbing Pros
Together, these two upcoming releases highlight DEWALT’s continued investment in cordless, trade-focused solutions. From system evacuation to refrigerant line connections, the goal is clear: reduce setup time, improve portability, and help crews work more efficiently without sacrificing performance.
For professionals attending AHR Expo, these tools offer a first look at how cordless platforms are expanding beyond general construction and deeper into specialized HVACR workflows. For those not at the show, these launches signal that more jobsite tasks, even traditionally corded are moving toward safer, more mobile, and more efficient cordless solutions.
As these tools become available, they’re likely to be of strong interest to HVAC technicians, refrigeration contractors, and plumbing professionals looking to streamline installs while keeping up with evolving industry standards.
