Introducing the new Milwaukee M12 FUEL ½” and ⅜” Stubby Impact Wrenches – the lightweight ninjas of the tool world. These pint-sized powerhouses deliver unmatched power, weighing 2 ½ pounds lighter than competitors while maintaining industry-leading compactness. Powered by Milwaukee‘s advanced POWERSTATE Brushless Motor, the Stubby reaches 0-3,000 RPM with up to 550 ft.-lbs. of Nut Busting Torque, making it ideal for removing even the most stubborn applications. At just 2.2 lbs. bare tool, it balances exceptional performance with lightweight design and has 50% faster application speeds.
Originally released in 2018 with a 250-pound capacity, the Stubby cordless impact wrench has now doubled its performance. This improvement starts with a 25% increase in mass for the mechanism, complemented by patented geometry that maximizes the inertia. Despite the larger mechanism, the motor is denser, minimizing bulk. This design reduces user fatigue throughout the work week, fitting into tight spaces and granting access where larger impacts and additional accessories are impractical or unnecessary. They’re so compact, that they could probably fit in your lunch box – though we don’t recommend trying to eat them.
These stubby wrenches have been equipped with Tri LED work lights eliminating shadows for improved visibility. Their 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL allows precise power and speed adjustments, including AUTO SHUT-OFF to 15 ft-lbs to prevent overtightening. You can say goodbye to those “oops, I overtightened it” moments that we all pretend never happen.
In reverse, bolt removal mode they decrease RPM once the bolt is loosened to prevent bolts from scattering. Mode changes are effortless with a single-handed operation—simply shift the forward-reverse shuttle to neutral and double-tap the trigger. The friction ring socket retention system reduces downtime on applications involving frequent changing of accessories.
Launching in early September, these tools are set to be your new best buds, available for $199 bare and $349 as part of a kit. Because who says work can’t be both productive and a blast?
