Milwaukee continues their growth in the pipeline inspection space with an all new range of reels and replacement head kits, available this July. Designed for different drain line sizes and featuring advanced camera technology, these reels offer unmatched clarity, portability, and ease of use like never before. Here’s what you can expect from the new lineup:
Common Features Across All Models:
M18 500 GB Control Hub: Part of the M18 Modular Pipeline Inspection System, the 500GB Control Hub allows you to easily swap between reel sizes with a centralized system to eliminate cords. With the ability to store up to 500GB of HD images and videos, this hub also allows you to build and edit reports, as well as save anything directly to your mobile device through the Pipeline Inspection app. It also provides up to 200’ of wireless connectivity between the M18 Wireless Monitor & the Milwaukee Pipeline Inspection App for ease of use at further distances. No internet is required to connect to the Control Hub; the device emits its own wi-fi that enables wireless connectivity to the monitor and mobile devices.
HDR Self-Leveling Camera Heads: The new and improved saphire crystal lens camera heads offer razor-sharp clarity up close & down the line, in various lighting conditions, for full depth of field vision. With the industry’s highest resolution HDR camera and now 144-246 lumen lighting, these heads also offer enhanced color for better material identification. Image Enhance allows you to adjust the contrast and saturation to optimize visibility even further, while the self-leveling feature ensures a smooth, always upright image. All camera heads have been upgraded from 1080p to 720p HDR Resolution, so while the pixel density is reduced overall, image quality is improved from the introduction of HDR image sensors. The camera heads are also waterproof with protection from submersion of up to 325′ and are sealed against dirt, dust, and debris.
Digital Zoom: For further enhanced visibility, the 4X digital zoom allows you to pan to focus directly on a point of interest while you’re working.
Pitch Sensing: Bellied lines can be difficult to spot and capture and are one of the most frequently encountered reasons for a blockage. The new Pitch Sensing feature reads and displays pitch on screen for easier diagnosis and more effective reporting, highlighting the degree of negative or positive pitch.
Pipe Protection: Each bare reel and Kit come included with (2) barrel skids and a camera head sleeve to center and protect the camera inside pipes.
Full Day Runtime: Both the M18 500gb Control Hub and M18 Wireless Monitor last 8 hours on a M18 5.0AH battery charge. Additionally, a wired connection from the Control Hub to the Monitor will allow for use with just one battery.
ONE-KEY: All of the new models are ONE-KEY enabled allowing you to remotely track, manage, and lock the tool out from your mobile device via Bluetooth.

100’ Flexible Modular Pipeline Inspection Reel (3972)
The 100’ Flexible Pipeline Inspection Reel features a flexible push cable that can navigate tight bends and traps in 1.5″- 4” lines up to 100’. This unit includes the industry’s shortest 25mm HDR self-leveling camera head and offers a lightweight, compact design. As Milwaukee’s most portable inspection camera, it comes complete with a carrying strap and is compatible with the removable backpack plate. This unit will be available as the bare reel (3972-20) for $4,619, or as a Kit (3972-22) with the Control Hub, (2) 5.0Ah batteries, a tablet mount, grounding stake, lead clamp, and rapid charger for $6,999.
120’ Mid-Stiff Modular Pipeline Inspection Reel (3973)
The 120’ Mid-Stiff Pipeline Inspection Reel is designed for 2”-6” drain lines and features the same 25mm HDR self-leveling camera head. Also compact in design, combined with removable backpack straps, this unit is still easily transportable to roofs, drains, crawl spaces, and beyond. This model will be available bare (3973-20) for $5,619, or as a Kit (3973-22) with the Control Hub, (2) 5.0Ah batteries, a tablet mount, grounding stake, lead clamp, and rapid charger for $7,999.
200’ Mid-Stiff Modular Pipeline Inspection Reel (3975)
Similarly, the 200’ Mid-Stiff Pipeline Inspection Reel balances distance and the ability to navigate bends in 2”-6” lines with a moderately stiff push cable. With the same 25mm HDR self-leveling camera head, this 200′ Reel is slightly larger at over 40lbs. To ensure easy transportation at this heavier weight, this system includes a telescoping handle and wide wheelbase. This model will be available bare (3975-20) for $7,119, or as a Kit (3975-22) with the Control Hub, (2) 5.0Ah batteries, a tablet mount, grounding stake, lead clamp, and rapid charger for $8,999.
200’ Stiff Modular Pipeline Inspection Reel (3974)
Next, the 200’ Stiff Modular Pipeline Inspection Reel is designed for 3”-10” drain lines and features the industry’s shortest 34mm HDR self-leveling camera head. At over 50lbs, this reel also comes equipped with the telescoping handle and wide wheelbase to make transportation easier both on and off the job. This unit will be available bare (3974-20) for $7,619, or as a Kit (3973-22) with the Control Hub, (2) 5.0Ah batteries, a tablet mount, grounding stake, lead clamp, and rapid charger for $9,999.
325’ Stiff Modular Pipeline Inspection Reel (3976)
Finally, the 325’ Stiff Pipeline Inspection Reel is ideal for long runs with few turns, designed for 3”-10” sewer lines. Also with the 34mm HDR self-leveling camera head, telescoping handle, and wide wheelbase, this unit is the largest of the new releases and includes (4) star skids along with the other (2) camera skids. This model will be available bare (3976-20) for $9,119, or as a Kit (3976-22) with the Control Hub, (2) 5.0Ah batteries, a tablet mount, grounding stake, lead clamp, and rapid charger for $11,499.
Also available separately are Replacement Kits for the 25mm Camera Head (48-53-3973) for $1,499 and the 34mm Camera Head (48-53-3973) for $1,999. These can be easily installed on any Milwaukee reels to provide HDR and pitch sensing improvements for easier diagnosis and more effective reporting.
