Milwaukee’s annual Pipeline Event brought an exciting revelation this year—the all-new Milwaukee M12 Brushless Rotary Tool (2525-20). The best part? It’s now available for pre-order!
This tool is great for professionals and DIY enthusiasts in different trades like carpenters, contractors, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, and more. It’s a tool that does it all, and in this blog, we’ll explore what makes it a must-have addition to your toolkit.
What sets the M12 Brushless Rotary Tool (2525-20) apart is its remarkable ability to work on a wide range of materials for various applications. It can cut PVC and plastics, slice through metal like threading rod, bolts, or nuts, refine cuts and trims, grind and cut tile or masonry, and even make precise cut-outs in drywall installation and repair. The possibilities are endless.
One common issue with rotary tools is their tendency to bog down under pressure. So, how did Milwaukee solve this problem? They introduced a Brushless Motor and REDLINK Plus Electronics, unleashing a new level of power and efficiency.
Milwaukee rates this model as over 2 times faster than its predecessor, the Milwaukee M12 Rotary Tool (2460-20), and it boasts over 30% higher loaded RPM than the leading 12 Volt tools, making it the most durable and longest-lasting tool in the 12V landscape. With 12 variable speed settings ranging from 5,000 to 27,500 RPM, you have precise control over your work.
But that’s not all! The M12 Brushless Rotary Tool has less vibration compared to the Milwaukee M12 Rotary Tool (2460-20). It also has a built-in wrench, a light to illuminate your work, and a user-friendly interface. It works with different rotary tool accessories and is lightweight, weighing less than a pound.
What’s in the Kit?
The Milwaukee M12 Brushless Rotary Tool Kit (2525-21) comes complete with everything you need: a compact 2.0 battery and charger, three cut-off wheels, a mandrel, and a convenient contractor bag to keep you organized and prepared for any job.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Will the previous model still be available alongside the new one? Yes, both the Milwaukee M12 Rotary Tool (2460-20) and the M12 Brushless Rotary Tool (2525-20) will be available, as the newer version is an incremental addition, not a replacement.
Which batteries do you recommend for the M12 Brushless Rotary Tool? All M12 Battery Packs are compatible, but for the best weight and ergonomics, we recommend using a CP pack. To achieve maximum performance and runtime, we recommend using an XC pack.
What type of bits are compatible? Only ⅛” shank bits are compatible with the included ⅛” collet. You can use 1/32”, 1/16”, and 3/32” Dremel collets to switch them out. Milwaukee doesn’t make any of these 3 just yet.
What is the runtime on this new rotary tool? You can get approximately 35 cuts into 2” PVC when paired with the CP2.0 battery pack.
