Features

The Metabo Weld Shaver sands down welding beads to leave a smooth surface when joining two pieces of metal together. Other methods of grinding can take off extra material around the weld, damaging your work surface. With the weld shaver, only the raised weld beads are shaved down flush to your workpiece in one pass. When you pass the shaver over a seam, it cleanly removes material and creates small metal chips rather than hazardous metal dust. The Weld Shaver also features a one-touch depth adjustment controller that changes the cutting depth in 0.1 mm increments without requiring any extra tools, allowing you to get the closest shave possible without interfering with the surrounding material.

The included guide rail attaches to the weld shaver with magnets so that you can start using the tool in seconds, and the indexable inserts can quickly and easily be changed on the cutter head as needed. The PFM 17 Weld Shaver also has restart protection to stop unintentional restarting after a power supply interruption. Vario Tacho Constamatic (VTC) Full-wave Electronics allow you to work at customized speeds to adapt to your project and flatten out welds more precisely. This tool is very user-friendly and offers a lot more control than other grinding methods for weld beads.
