Rebar tying is repetitive, physically demanding work, especially when crews are completing thousands of ties across a large project. MAX USA developed the TWINTIER lineup to make that process faster, easier and more consistent while helping reduce the strain associated with tying rebar by hand.

The lineup now includes four 19-gauge rebar tying tools: the MAX-RB443T the larger-capacity RB613T and the new connected MAX-RB443T-C and MAX-RB613T-C. The connected models deliver the same tying performance as their standard counterparts while adding GPS and cellular technology for location tracking, geofencing, tool monitoring and troubleshooting.
What Every MAX TWINTIER Has in Common
All four models use MAX TWINTIER technology, which feeds two wires simultaneously to complete fast, consistent ties. This system is designed to improve productivity, reduce unnecessary wire use and help take some of the physical strain out of repetitive rebar work.

The Dual Wire Feeding Mechanism allows each tool to complete a tie in approximately half a second or less. The Wire Pull Back Mechanism pulls back excess wire and dispenses only the amount required for each tie, helping crews control material use and production costs.
MAX’s Wire Bending Mechanism also produces a shorter tie height. This creates a lower-profile finished tie that requires less concrete coverage.
Other shared features include easy wire loading, reduced trigger effort and durable construction designed for demanding environments. Each tool uses MAX TW1061T Series 19-gauge tie wire and runs on the JPL91450A battery platform.
Meet The TWINTIER RB443T
(MAX-RB443T)
The MAX RB443T (MAX-RB443T) is built for wire mesh and rebar combinations ranging from #3 × #3 through #7 × #7. Its combination of speed, compact handling and broad application range makes it a strong everyday option for precast plants, foundations, road and bridge work, tilt-up construction, retaining walls, electrical conduit and swimming pools.


The enhanced tying mechanism completes a tie in less than half a second. With approximately 5,000 ties per charge, the RB443T gives crews enough runtime to move through high-volume applications with fewer interruptions.
Its slim tying arm fits into tight areas, while the built-in marker helps the operator see where the tie will be placed. An enclosed magazine protects the wire and internal components from jobsite debris, and the wire-loading assist mechanism makes changing coils quicker and easier.
Depending on the application, one coil can produce approximately 145 to 265 ties.

The tool weighs 5.6 pounds and measures 11-1/2 inches high, 4-3/4 inches wide and 13 inches long. It uses 19-gauge TW1061T, TW1061T-PC, TW1061T-EG or TW1061T-S tie wire and operates with the JPL91450A battery and JC925A charger. A full charge takes approximately 80 minutes, while the battery can reach 80% charge in about 60 minutes.
Meet the Larger-Capacity MAX RB613T
(MAX-RB613T)
When the application moves beyond the capacity of the MAX-RB443T, the MAX-RB613T steps in with a larger jaw. It can handle rebar combinations from #5 × #5 through #9 × #10, depending on the rebar manufacturer.

This additional capacity makes the RB613T a better fit for heavy foundations, large retaining walls, road and bridge construction, tilt-up projects and other applications involving larger rebar combinations.
MAX improved the tying mechanism to complete a tie in approximately half a second, making the RB613T about 15% faster than the previous RB611T. It also has an easier-pull trigger to improve ergonomics during repetitive work and a wire-loading assist mechanism for faster coil changes.
Like the RB443T, it delivers approximately 5,000 ties per charge. Its larger jaw changes the number of ties available from each coil, with approximately 115 to 205 ties depending on the application.

Introducing the New Connected MAX TWINTIER Tools
The biggest addition to the TWINTIER lineup is not a new tying mechanism, it is a new way to manage the tools.
The MAX-RB443T-C and MAX-RB613T-C add integrated GPS and cellular connectivity to the proven performance of the standard MAX-RB443T and MAX-RB613T. These features give contractors more visibility and control when tools are moving between crews, vehicles, storage areas and multiple jobsites.

The new MAX-RB443T-C and MAX-RB613T-C do more than tie rebar. They add an integrated tool-tracking system designed to give contractors greater visibility and control over valuable equipment through MAX USA’s web-based management platform.
The connected models combine cellular and GPS technology with real-time location tracking, geofencing alerts, remote locking and tool-status monitoring. Contractors can use these features to locate tools, monitor activity and manage how equipment is deployed across different crews and jobsites.

This technology is especially valuable for contractors managing a larger fleet. Instead of spending time checking every truck, storage area or active site, managers can view connected tools through one platform and see where their equipment is located.
Track Tools Even When They Are Turned Off
Location tracking remains active when a connected TWINTIER is powered off. It can continue operating for up to 30 days, even if the tool’s removable battery has been taken out.
This is possible because the tracking system has its own built-in battery. That dedicated power source helps contractors continue locating the tool when it is not being used, transported between jobsites or removed from its main battery.

Because the connected system also requires power, the RB443T-C and RB613T-C complete approximately 4,300 ties per charge. The standard RB443T and RB613T, which do not power the connected system, deliver approximately 5,000 ties per charge.
Set Geofences and Receive Movement Alerts
Contractors can establish geofences, which are virtual boundaries placed around approved areas such as jobsites, warehouses or equipment yards.

If a connected tool leaves its designated area, the system can send an alert. This gives managers faster notice when equipment moves somewhere unexpected and helps them respond before the tool travels farther from the site.
Remotely Lock Missing Tools
If an RB443T-C or RB613T-C is lost or stolen, an authorized user can remotely lock the tool through the management platform. Locking it out helps prevent unauthorized use and provides an additional theft-deterrence feature beyond location tracking.


The system does not replace proper jobsite security, but it gives contractors another layer of control over high-value equipment.
Monitor Tool Activity and Deployment
The platform provides real-time information about connected tools, helping managers understand where equipment is located and how it is being deployed.

That visibility can help a company determine whether one crew has more tying tools than it needs while another crew is waiting for equipment. It can also make it easier to manage transfers between projects and keep a more accurate record of the tools assigned to each location.
Access Diagnostics and Maintenance Information
The connected platform is also designed to help contractors keep their tools working. Users can access tool-status updates, maintenance recommendations and diagnostic information remotely.

When the tool detects an error, the platform can send an alert and provide step-by-step troubleshooting suggestions. This gives the crew a clearer place to start when something goes wrong and may help resolve simple problems without unnecessary downtime.

The connected technology does not replace the tying performance of the standard models. The MAX-RB443T-C retains the same wire mesh through #7 × #7 capacity as the MAX-RB443T, while the MAX-RB613T-C handles the same #5 × #5 through #9 × #10 combinations as the MAX-RB613T.
The MAX-RB613T-C stands out as the first connected rebar tying tool designed to handle combinations as large as #9 × #10. It completes a tie in approximately half a second, making it around 15% faster than the previous RB611T, while delivering approximately 4,300 ties per charge.
