Diamond Products makes some of the best core drills, cutting tools, and grinding machines available on the market today. One of their standout products is the new 110V Electric Chainsaw, the first ever lightweight, easy to use and electric chainsaw for cutting through concrete. If you need to make precise cuts into concrete, concrete chainsaws are the way to go, offering more control than and precision than a cut-off saw.
Concrete chain saws are great to use for a variety of concrete cutting applications, such as making plunge cuts for creating joints, windows, doorways, concrete roof decks; demolition cutting; and more. If you need to make an opening cut deeper than five inches, a concrete chain saw is a great solution because of the extended bar. The Diamond Products Chainsaw comes included with a 12-inch bar that can cut deeper than cut-off saws with round cutting wheels, and a chain.
The 12″ Chainsaw comes with built-in levels for accurate cutting alignment, creates clean corner cuts, prevents overcutting, and saves time on set-up because it is hand-held. Since this is an electric tool, it is lighter weight and quieter than most gas-powered tools, making it great for indoor or outdoor applications. Additionally, it wont emit any toxic fumes indoors that could be harmful.
Changing the Chain
Concrete cutting chains are pricey, so its important that you are choosing the correct ones and installing them correctly. The user manual states that you engage the chain on the slotted drive sprocket that turns the chain. This is right underneath the toothed “drive arbor” that turns the sprocket. The green arrow in the image below is pointing to the slotted drive sprocket, where the chain should sit, and the red arrow is pointing to the arbor. When installing the chain make sure you do not confuse the two because connecting the chain to the arbor will destroy your chain and the arbor itself.
