DeWalt has a whole lineup of exciting new releases coming down the pipeline. This Fall, the new 60V MAX FLEXVOLT Grinder, 20V MAX XR Brushless 3-in. Cut Off Tool, and the XTREME 12V MAX 5-in-1 Drill/Driver are set to be released, and are definitely going to give other cordless tools a run for their money. DeWalt is also expanding their outdoor power equipment line in Spring 2022–just in time to get your property looking fresh for the warmer months. This past weekend, they previewed their new range of outdoor landscaping and maintenance products at the National Gardening Industry & Equipment Exhibition in Louisville, Kentucky. Keep an eye out for DeWalt’s new 18″ and 20″ Chainsaw, 20V MAX Pruner, Rear Wheel Drive Mower, 13 Amp Electric Pressure Washer, and more in the new year. Each of these new announcements are battery powered, expanding DeWalt’s already impressive collection of cordless electric tools.
New This Fall
60V MAX Brushless Cordless 7-inch FLEXVOLT Grinder DCG440B
First up is the 60V MAX Brushless Cordless 7″ FLEXVOLT Grinder with Kickback Brake. This is the newest and most powerful cordless angle grinder from DeWalt. It delivers 30% more torque than the previous model, the DCG418 60V MAX FLEXVOLT Grinder, and up to 2,300 max watts output, making it great for heavy duty grinding jobs, wire brushing, and general cutting applications.
The Cordless 7″ FLEXVOLT Grinder is part of DeWalt’s Perform & Protect line of that is designed to offer you exceptional control over the tool’s operation. The E-CLUTCH and Kickback Brake stop the wheel immediately as the trigger is released, which shuts down the motor when a pinch or stall is detected. This stops the tool from kicking back while in use and helps prevent any injury or damage to you and your workspace. This new grinder will be available as a kit (DCG440X2) with two 60V MAX FLEXVOLT Batteries for $499 or as a bare tool (DCG440B) for $259.
20V MAX XR Brushless 3-inch Cut Off Tool DCS438
The 20V MAX XR Brushless 3″ Cut Off Tool was created to cut through metal, drywall, fiber cement, plastic, tile, and stone, making it great for a variety of applications. This tool can reach 550 watts of maximum output, a no-load speed of 20,000 RPM, and 0.79″ max depth of cut with a 3/8″ arbor to power through tough materials.
The 20V MAX 3″ Cut Off Tool includes a removeable dust shroud with an adjustable shoe and AirLock connection so you can easily attach it to a DeWalt extractor. Additionally, you can cut in both forward and backwards directions so you can have even more control over the cutting action and the direction of the sparks. The unit includes a 7/16″ arbor adapter ring and three wheels: a Bonded Abrasive Wheel, a Diamond Multi-Material Wheel, and a Diamond Tile Wheel. It also comes equipped with a tool-free adjustable guard, onboard wrench storage, and an LED light in addition to the three wheels.
XTREME 12V MAX Brushless Cordless 5-in-1 Drill/Driver DCD703
Last but not least for the Fall releases, the DeWalt XTREME 12V MAX Brushless Cordless 5-in-1 Drill/Driver DCD703 is the perfect tool for all your drilling jobs. The multi-head drill/driver has four different attachments to adapt to any application:
- 1/4″ hex right angle attachment
- 1/4″ hex quick release attachment
- 1/4″ hex quick release offset accessory
- 3/8″ ratcheting chuck attachment
This compact tool is less than 5 inches long, so it can easily fit into hard-to-reach spaces. The usability features offer pro-level performance even if you are not using it in a professional setting. It features a 2-speed transmission and 15 clutch setting for incredibly precise control over the tool.
Coming Spring 2022
60V MAX 18- and 20-Inch Chainsaws
First up for the Spring releases are the 60V MAX 18″ (DCCS672) and 20″ (DCCS677Z1) Chainsaws, designed for professional landscape use. These new chainsaws deliver 20% more peak power and over 2X the max torque than a 50.2 cc gas chainsaw. Capable of cutting through 17″ white oak logs in less than 15 seconds using a DCB615 battery, these new chainsaws feature robust chain tensioning for reliable chain retention, auto-oiling for longevity of use, a chain brake and an onboard wrench for quick chain adjustments. The 18″ and 20″ chainsaws will be available as kits with a FLEXVOLT battery, charger, bar sheath, rugged carrying case, sharpening file and tension tool, or as a bare tool.
20V MAX Pruner
The 20V MAX Pruner (DCPR320) joins the 250+ products in the DEWALT 20V MAX System and requires 16X less effort on average to make cuts than a manual pruner. The bare tool weights only 3 pounds, making it easy to cut down unwanted branches, trim bushes and clip flowers throughout the day. It delivers up to 1,100 cuts per charge with a 1-1/2″ cut capacity for thick stems and shrubs. The on-board LED work light offers improved visibility when working at night or in dim lighting. The pruner makes smooth and swift cuts with its non-stick coating and easy to switch blades, and it comes equipped with a tool for on-the-go blade changes.
2x20V MAX Rear-Wheel-Drive Self-Propelled 21.5″ Mower Kit
Next on the radar, DeWalt is introducing the new 2x20V MAX Rear Wheel Drive Self-Propelled 21.5″ Mower Kit (DCMWSP255U2). Designed to quickly mow large yards, this rear-wheel-drive mower cuts grass from 1-1/2″ to 4″ tall with auto-sensing technology that helps maintain high revolutions per minute (RPM) when tackling demanding yardwork. With 3-IN-1 functionality, the mower can mulch, bag, or discharge clippings and features a fold-over handle for convenient and trouble-free transport when the job is done. The mower is sold with two 20V MAX batteries (DCB210), two chargers, a side discharge attachment, and a grass collection bag.
2100 MAX PSI 1.2 GPM 13 Amp Electric Jobsite Pressure Washer
Power through outdoor cleaning jobs with ease using the 2100 MAX PSI 1.2 GPM 13 Amp Electric Jobsite Pressure Washer (DWPW2100). Designed with internal storage capability to seamlessly stow and retrieve the included wand and nozzles, this tool has a durable frame for stacking and is 3X smaller when stored in the closed position. It is compact enough to be stored vertically or horizontally and includes multiple grab points for loading and unloading, wheels for ease of movement, and a retractable handle for hassle-free mobility. There are multiple accessories available to customize this pressure washer to your needs, including a 25-foot high pressure hose, turbo nozzle for up to 2.4X cleaning width, 15° nozzle, 40° nozzle, a soap nozzle, wand with nozzle storage and a built-in removable soap tank for projects that require detergent for a full clean. In addition, the pressure washer is Cleaning Equipment Trade Association (CETA) certified, adhering to the CPC100 performance standard.
DeWalt will also be releasing their 60V MAX 26″ Hedge Trimmer (DCHT870) and 20V MAX Edger (DCED400) this spring, with more info to come on these soon.
