Milwaukee is introducing all new M12 and M18 Cable Stripper Kits with 6 new bushing sizes to their cable stripping portfolio. The innovative design of these strippers allows users to easily reach tight spaces and get more precise strips. Across industries, cable size and jacket thickness varies quite a bit, making it difficult to find a bushing attachment that perfectly matches the exact cable size. Using the wrong size bushing can cause it to slip past the knife entirely and not come into contact with the insulation, preventing you from getting complete strips. Additionally, if you need to force the cable into the tool you can experience jacket jams and other issues. This new expansion addresses these issues and more by including more bushing options that are in between the common cable sizes for more accurate stripping.

The adjustable depth gauge and variable speed trigger features allow for consistent and controlled strips of 1/16” increments up to 3”.

Expanded Cable Stripper Kits

The new M12 and M18 cable strippers feature a more compact design to fit into those hard-to-reach areas. Unlike previous models, the blade is not exposed, which prevents knife injuries on the job. The right angle design allows more maneuverability in tight spaces such as crowded panels and switch gears, and lessens the strain on your wrists. This shape also gives the user more control because your hand grip is directly under the head of the tool. The adjustable depth gauge and variable speed trigger features allow for consistent and controlled strips of 1/16” increments up to 3”. These new cable strippers are available in both M12 and M18 versions and are compatible with their respective battery ranges for cordless stripping applications.

New Bushing Sizes Available

The expanded range of bushings is a game changer for users because it accommodates for inconsistent cable sizing across manufacturers and manufacturing batches. The new sizes are designed for wires that may be in between two sizes, so you don’t have to use a bushing that is slightly too big or too small. This provides the best strip performance across all cable sizes and prevents any damage to the cable or your tool during use. Each bushing now uses an industry standard color coding system and includes the jacket type to better distinguish between the different sizes. This takes a lot of guessing out of which bushing size is needed. They can also be changed quickly without tools, saving you even more time when switching between cable sizes. Each bushing will be available individually and as part of the M12 and M18 cable stripping kits.
