Highly anticipated by those working both indoor and outdoor where spikes are not preferred, Ergodyne has developed a new solution for workplace traction — specifically for winter’s worst conditions. If you’re in trucking, warehousing, beverage delivery, construction, moving, railway, airlines, etc., you understand the difficulty of working in-between indoor and outdoor spaces in wet or icy conditions. Now with Ergodyne’s TREX Spikeless Traction Device (1692), you can boldly tread the ice and snow…and the indoors.

How it Works

The new TREX Spikeless Traction Device is powered by soles by Michelin. While traditional traction shoes and devices integrate spikes for handling the outdoors, these are constructed with a Michelin ice control compound–the same innovative technology found in their winter driving tires–that can easily transition to indoors without scratching floors and other surfaces or increasing your chances of falling. Manage ice with micro-pumps for pressure distribution. These micro-pumps help to maintain greater surface contact with the ground to increase adhesion in icy conditions. “Block Springs” in the tread design increase the surface area as well, aiding in grip on dusty or snowy surfaces. Grooves are strategically placed throughout and around the outer rim of the sole to allow for water evacuation when pressure is applied to the ground on wet and slick surfaces.

The one-piece stretch design allows you to put these over any shoe or boot from heel to toe. Different sizes can cover shoe sizes from Mens 5 to 14, with an adjustable cord incorporated that cinches tight to ensure a secure fit. The heel pull tab on the back allows for easy application and removal, and the material is sure to remain flexible even in extreme temperatures (tested in temps as low as -40°F!)
